VEIN server hosting
with every setting in your panel.
Rent a VEIN dedicated server, invite your friends, and run the world your way. All 85 of VEIN’s server settings are labeled fields in your browser — no config files to hunt down, no FTP, no support ticket.
- ✓Backed up nightly, off-site — restore or download them yourself.
- ✓Every file is yours — file manager and config editor in the browser.
- ✓Share the server, not your account — and take the keys back anytime.
- ✓Switch games later, keep the world — your RAM is a pool.

What comes with a VEIN server
All of it on every plan. The rungs differ by memory, not by what you are allowed to do.
Run it from the browser
No SSH, no ticket, no waiting on us.
- ✓Start, stop and restart whenever you like
- ✓Scheduled restarts on a timer you set
- ✓All 85 settings as labeled fields, with the game’s own default beside each one
- ✓Password your server and see who is on it
- ✓Switch this server to another game and your VEIN world is kept — no charge, no rebuild, switch back whenever
A world that actually saves
The part we found the hard way.
- ✓Save now writes immediately — we call VEIN’s own save and watch the file grow
- ✓We save before every stop and before every backup
- ✓Nightly off-site backups — restore or download any of them yourself
- ✓Windows build under Wine. We ran VEIN’s Linux server for a day — same build, same box, only the binary different — and it never wrote a world once
Mods, bans and your files
They stick across restarts and updates.
- ✓Drop a
.pakin — the engine loads it, VEIN needs no third-party mod loader - ✓Mods live on your volume, so an update or a rebuild cannot wipe them
- ✓Your bans survive a restart. VEIN rewrites its own config on shutdown; we keep your list outside it and put it back at boot
- ✓File manager and config editor in the panel
- ✓Share it with a friend — an invite link or their email, for this one server, revoked whenever you like
- ✓A history you keep — joins, leaves, power actions and setting changes, stored outside the container so a rebuild cannot erase it
- ✓Bring a world in, or take yours out, whenever you want
The hardware, named
You can go and look every part of this up.
- ✓AMD Ryzen 9 9950X — not “premium hardware”
- ✓NVMe SSD storage
- ✓Dedicated RAM, never oversold — the number is on your receipt
- ✓DDoS-protected network
- ✓Direct game and query ports — no proxy hops
- ✓NA East (Montreal), one location, stated plainly
We measured VEIN ourselves
instead of repeating the spec sheet.
The published requirement and the running process disagreed. We went with the running process.
Idle is not the same as enough.
The commonly quoted VEIN requirement is 8 GB. We booted the dedicated server empty and read 3.66 GB off the process — so far so good, and that is where a lot of hosts would stop and sell you a 4 GB plan. We kept going and ran it inside a hard 4 GB box: it hit the ceiling 2,289 times with nobody playing, staying alive only by evicting its own binaries. 6 GB is where it runs clean. Still under 8, and honest.
Your config, and a guide that agrees with it.
VEIN’s config files open in the panel’s own editor, and our public VEIN config tool documents every key from the same verified data — so what you read in the guide is what is in the file. All 85 keys are labeled fields in the panel too — shipped and field-proven, not queued.
We track the patches.
VEIN is still moving. When a patch changes the server surface we update the egg and the settings rather than leaving you to discover it when your world will not boot.
And if you would rather not choose: your RAM is a pool. Size up once and run VEIN and something else side by side on the same plan, with no second bill.
Straight answers, no pitch
How much does VEIN server hosting cost?
From $16.50/mo for 6 GB, $22 for 8 GB, or $32 for 12 GB — $2.75/GB down to $2.46 as you size up, guaranteed dedicated RAM, no slot pricing, no setup fee.
How much RAM does VEIN actually need?
Its resident set is about 3.6 GB with nobody connected — genuinely less than the 8 GB quoted in a lot of places. But we then ran it in a hard 4 GB box and watched it hit the ceiling 2,289 times, and 742 times at 5 GB: VEIN also wants better than a gigabyte of file cache off a 16 GB install, and squeezing that out is how a server that looks healthy ends up stuttering. So we sell from 6 GB. Cheaper than the 8 GB everyone quotes, and it is a number we actually ran.
Is VEIN not still in early access?
Yes, and we treat it that way — the server updates as the game does, and we track it. If a VEIN patch changes the server surface we update the egg rather than leaving you to work it out.
Can I change the server settings?
Yes — VEIN’s config files open in the panel’s own editor, no SSH and no support ticket, and our public VEIN config tool documents every key. All 85 settings are labeled fields as well, with plain-English explanations and the game’s own default beside each one — shipped and field-proven, not queued.
How much disk space do I get?
Enough, and we do not bill for it. VEIN wants roughly 16 GB for the install itself and that is included — we charge for RAM, not storage, so your world, your backups and your mods are not competing with an invoice.
Do you back up my world?
Yes — nightly, automatically, off-site on a separate network. One-click restore or download from the panel.
Where are the servers?
NA East (Montreal) — AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, NVMe storage, DDoS-protected network, direct game and query ports.
